WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

NBA Finals, Game 5

Miami HEAT 121  Oklahoma City Thunder 106

The King Got His Ring!!!!

It was a perfectly magical night when everything went right for the HEAT.

LeBron made his FIRST Triple-Double in the season!  Mike Miller was a game MVP (I WISH!)!  He really put all his heart and he deserved the ring!  He played with so much pain but fought through all of it.  THANK YOU Mike  Miller!  Talk about GREAT timing!  Wade brought his game with a nice 24 points and Bosh was a BIG help on the defensive side but we really just played like a TEAM!  The highest scoring player might’ve only scored 24, but everyone played a part like true CHAMPS!!!  Last night we weren’t just Champions, we were a TEAM!

The Championship Trophy Presentation was easily one of the BEST feelings of my life!  All the confetti rained all over the place and when they gave the Trophy to LeBron, he looked at it like as if they were giving his baby to him!  Everyone gave a great speech, but the BEST part was how their words made you feel!  I felt like I was a part of the team!  Last season after we lost to Dallas I cried all the way home but last night I was smiling all the way home!!!

So who’s ready for the PARADE!!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NBA WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!!

Too HOT For The Thunder!

NBA Finals, GAME 4

Miami HEAT 104  Oklahoma City Thunder 98

Wow!  Just WOW!  The first quarter was a blowout:(.  We couldn’t make a shot, we played horrible defense and didn’t get rebounds.  On the other hand OKC were looking like they were shooting 100% and were dominating on the defensive side.  But it was just the beginning and I was a BELIEVER!  At the end of the 1st, we couldn’t find a lead and were down 19-33.

Norris “Nono” Cole came out and made some BIG shots for us and Mario “Rio” Chalmers was all over the place.  Spo must’ve said something in the time out because after that… we were on a ROLL!!!   It was a very aggressive game with over 35 fouls.  CLEARLY, both teams were putting everything on the line  and were fighting for every point.  It was a back and fourth game and at the end of the 1st half OKC were leading 46-49.

The second half was a different story…  The BIG Three were showing us why they are called the BIG Three but also our supporting cast – also known as our bench – were having a stellar night!  We hit free throws, played great defense and got rebounds.  DWade took a hard fall in the third and hurt his back but like the champion he is, he played on.  LeBron hurt his leg in the fourth but also played on and hit a game changing THREE!!!!!!  Then Rio came in and just KILLED it!!!  It was a Championship worthy performance by our Miami HEAT.

The next time I write I will be writing about our Miami HEAT being crowned the NBA World Champions of 2012!

Lastly, a shout out to my good friend Michael and his friend who were rocking’ the morph suits last night.

Home STRONG!

NBA Finals.  Game 3

Miami HEAT 91 OKC Thunder 85

Last night we were clearly showing that we were Home STRONG and were ready for some Finals basketball.

In the first half we were showing GREAT Hustle and were unstoppable!  Wade was putting up a BIG effort and it paid off.  At some points, (thankfully) we got a couple calls our way that should’ve been on OKC but Joey Crawford turned his back on us within a second!  We were doing stellar especially on the defensive side and got both offensive and defensive rebounds.  At the end of the 1st Quarter, we had a decent lead at 26-20.

It was GREAT how ELECTRIFYING the AAArena was throughout the game! I don’t think I’ve ever heard it that loud!  JJ was getting some nice, early minutes and he played well.  It was a “Tug-of-war” game going back and fourth but it was just the beginning,it wasn’t as good of a quarter as the 1st, but I was happy. At the end of the 1st half, it was a close one going on as we lead 47-46.

In the second half we didn’t play as well as the first.  We were missing A LOT of shots in the paint.  A LOT.  Luckily we were playing fantastic defense AND we were getting lots of rebounds.  It looks like we have been practicing our free throws and that made a BIG difference and it helped us get the win. The BIG three all showed up and KEvin Durant got into foul trouble again.  It wasn’t the prettiest basketball I’ve ever seen but it was good enough.

Two more wins and we are the Champions!!!

A HOT Night In OKC

NBA Finals Game 2

Miami HEAT  100  Oklahoma City Thunder  96

So we are still in Oklahoma for Game 2 and I was NERVOUS!  Luckily Spo made two great changes to start the game:  Bosh finally started and LeBron was guarding Kevin Durant.  Wade was looking much more confident than he was on Tuesday.  He was making points and playing great defense against Westbrook.  LeBron was also off to a great start playing defense well and being aggressive in the paint for layups.  Bosh was getting down and dirty fighting for rebounds and playing great defense!  OKC was slightly falling into foul trouble so it was giving us a small advantage.  We were fighting hard getting rebounds, playing good defense and showing GREAT HUSTLE… and the HEAT wasn’t just going to the standards, they were going BEYOND GREATNESS!  We ended the first half up 55 – 43.

I was feeling VERY confident going into the 2nd half with a double digit lead, and was looking at a win.  Battier kept the HEAT going and the BIG 3 were on FIRE!  I just want to let everybody know that I have been talking about Shane Battier since the BEGINNING of the season.  Now everyone is talking about Battier but I’ve always known how GREAT he is on AND off the court.  Now back to the game…  We never lost our lead which was good but it got way too close in the 4th quarter.  Good thing LeBron has been clearly practicing his free throws because he hit two CLUTCH free throws with 7.1 seconds left and we had tied the series.  Well done LeBron.  Well done.

Shout outs to Rio and UD who showed hustle all game long.

Me and last night’s MVP:)

Too Much Thunder

NBA Finals, Game 1

Miami Heat 94 OKC Thunder 105

It was a stellar 1st half!  Battier played AMAZING!  He made three threes, got a ton of rebounds and had big time hustle.  UD was also having a great first half.  He was unstoppable on defense. We were getting rebounds, made 6 THREEEES and were playing tough defense!  Rio also gets an honorable mention because he was awesome!  It was just the beginning so I didn’t want to get cocky but CLEARLY, we were off to a great start.  The only thing that worried me was Wade had another uneventful first half.  He needs to play better at all times!  Not just at one half of the game.

Sadly, the 2nd half was highly different from the 1st.  The Wade we know was nowhere to be found and Kevin Durant played better and better.  Believe it or not, Battier almost had more points than WADE (Wade 19 Battier 17).  I am still believing we can get the RINGS, but the possibility will get smaller the more we keep playing like this.  Wade NEEDS to move it up a step, Battier needs to keep it up, and we’ve got to play tougher as a team.  And it wouldn’t hurt if LeBron had another 45 point game.

I’m so excited we are going to the FINALS! I thought I’d repost one of my favorite days…

Miami HEAT 93 New York Knicks 85

Before the game I was a bit worried and thinking that I DID NOT want us to end up playing the Knicks in th efrist round of the play offs but it turned out well.  I was shocked at how PHYSICAL the Knicks were playing!  Luckily we had a great start and with 5 minutes left in the first we already had a DOUBLE DIGIT lead.  I saw the Arisons at MSG watching us. Very cool.  I think they are awesome owners and I got to say hi to Nick!

In the 2nd quarter I wasn’t too happy about our play.  We looked careless and Melo was having a huge 1st half.  We ended the 2nd quarter up 46 – 44.  I was surprised at how many BOOS LeBron got from the New Yorkers.  Were they giving away Haterade at MSG?  Still looking…

Eastern Conference Champions!

Eastern Conference Finals.  Game 7

Miami HEAT 101 Boston Celtics 88

WHAT A GAME!!!

In the First half, I was a bit worried because Boston was playing well and we  couldn’t find a lead but we were trying as hard as possible.  Still, it was just the beginning!

In the 2nd half, we really got it together.  Bosh made lots of rebounds and even 3s!  LeBron and Wade weren’t lacking confidence, everyone played a part (including the Fans) and it led to a WIN!  We started making all of our shots – especially in the 4th quarter and I think Boston was just out of gas.

I was so fortunate to be able to go to this game and be part of not only one of the most ELECTRIFYING crowds in the NBA but I also got to see the HEAT hold up THE 2011-12 Eastern Conference Championship Trophy!  It was so exciting to see us win and get BACK-TO-BACK Eastern Conference Championship Titles!

Oklahoma City might be very tough, but first of all, tough does not mean impossible, and second, the HEAT is on!

All Hail King James

It was a GREAT team effort but LeBron was just a MONSTER!  He made layups, fade aways and one or two 3 pointers!  CLEARLY, he not only played like an MVP tonight – his playing was championship worthy!  It was a great, stellar, perfect and all the other good adjectives you can think of!  I can’t wait for Saturday!  I’m hoping for a BIG WIN to face OKC for the Finals!

See what happens when you believe:).

Faith, Hope and Pizza

Hi everyone, I seriously hope this is NOT my last pre game blog (this season) so here’s what we (the fans) need to do tonight…

Tip off is at 8:30pm on ESPN and I have a feeling Spo will be starting Bosh tonight which is a good thing.  We could use a little height on the court against KG.

We need to have FAITH.  We need to HOPE and BELIEVE that the HEAT will win tonight and we need to order some pizza to watch during the game.

Let’s do this!

You Gotta Have Faith

EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS. GAME 5.

MIAMI HEAT 90  BOSTON CELTICS 94

What a game!  My heart was beating and boy was I worried!  We just weren’t enough.  This will be brief and I’ll spare you the things we need to change.

We were playing well, Wade finally played well in the 1st half, but fell asleep in the 2nd.  Boston was attacking and were playing harder and wanted the win more.  We just didn’t have enough heart!  Our defense was off and NOBODY on the HEAT was trying enough, playing hard enough or bringing out their A Game.  Even the fans (BEST Fans in the NBA) were asleep!  It was never a LARGE deficit, but this was a MUST-WIN game and we didn’t win.

I do think we are just as good as Boston but tomorrow, whoever has the better mental game could very easily win this.  Do I think we can win this series? Yes.  Is it going to be easy?  No.

Lets have FAITH, BELIEF & HOPE!!!
